About Snehagiri


Snehagiri, which means "Hill of Love" is the name of a new community. At present about 500 families of the locality which took its name from a nucleus of about 25 families built a housing complex of that name in an area of about 5 acres of land. It is situated on an important bus route, about 4 Kms away from Mala in Trichur district of Kerala, India which is the nearest township.

Snehagiri Society was founded and registered in the year 1979. This is a Charitable Society registered under charitable Societies Registration Act, with independent legal status. Rev. Fr. Provincial, Devamatha Province, Trichur is the patron of the Society. Director board of the Society consists of 4 laymen, 1 sister and 4 C.M.I Fathers. Fr. Jose Payappilly, CMI is the Director of the Society. 

Snehagiri Society carried out several humanitarian works successfully organising unemployed youth in co-operation with service minded people of the locality. The following projects were implemented by Snehagiri Society.
